Marvin the Martian Bracelet Watch

How do you guys like my Marvin the Martin watch? This is an old watch that I had that my ex-husband gave me. It is one of the few things I kept that he gave me. I lost one of the pins that holds the watch band on and I fixed it with a jump ring and E6000 glue. I made links with beads left over from another project. It just needs a new battery.

Royal Purple Necklace fit for a queen

I made the necklace from Preciosa purple beads made into links. The black beads with caps are sold as links and I got everything, including the chain from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. I just checked and the black beads are no longer available, as they were a closeout item. I did see some other links that would work, though. I love this necklace. It was simple to make as some of the work is done for you.

Glitter Bread Dough Pendant Necklace

This project comes from Cool2Craft's Candace Jedrowicz http://www.favecrafts.com/Pendants/Glitter-Bread-Dough-Pendant It is made from glitter, a bread slice, and tissue paper with a few other items that you probably have around the house. I got my tissue paper from (you guessed it) the Dollar Tree and it was a rose print in a package with other prints. They are beautiful beads, although they were time consuming to make as all handmade paper beads are. I decided to pair the tissue paper beads with some crackle glass beads that I had on hand and I strung them on Acculon instead of the silk cord. I used Triple Thick to seal the pendant. I used regular (not fine) glitter that I had on hand. I did not stamp this one, I may try that with the next one that I make. I am pleased with how it turned out.

Paperclip Bracelet

If you have beads and paperclips, you can make these bracelets! This is from Emi Harrington http://www.favecrafts.com/Bracelets/Paper-Clip-Bracelets/ml/1
and these are super simple and fun (and cheap) to make. The silver beads are from Micheal's, the pink beads are from the Dollar Tree and the blue beads are from Mich L in LA.

Sunglasses Lens Pendant

I saw these on Jewels of Sayuri
http://jewelsofsayuri.blogspot.com/2012/03/sunglases-pendant-tutorial.html
Divya has a lot of cool posts, you should check her out. As you can see, I used some wrapping paper for this particular one. I made the necklace from bugle beads that I had on hand since I was out of chains.  I want to make more, maybe some Alice in Wonderland and Lenore (Little Dead Girl) ones.

Pink Teardrop Earrings

I made these using eyepins (two for each earring), glass pearls and pink teardrops. I got the teardrops in a package with other beads at the Dollar Tree and the glass pearls are a buck a strand at Micheal's so this is a cheap, yet beautiful (also easy and fast) project.

Button Charm Bracelet

I made this with a charm bracelet kit that came with a necklace, headpins and jump rings in a kit from Joann's. These are leftover buttons and beads from other projects and I love how it turned out. I got the buttons from Joann's, the glass pearls from Micheal's, not sure about the other beads?

Pearly Shell Necklace

I made this after seeing this post from Projects Around the House http://projectsaroundthehouse.blogspot.com/2012/05/diy-pearly-shell-necklace.html I couldn't find the flat shell beads so I went with the open ones. I used glass pearls on the necklace and I love them, they are beautiful and affordable. This is so pretty and beachy, timeless beauty.

Washer Pendant Necklaces

I just happened to have three big washers and decided to make pendants using the abundant supply of sheet music paper that I have on hand. I used this tutorial to make them. I also had the wood beads on hand, I just had to buy the Triple Thick and the leather lace. BTW, Joann's does not carry Triple Thick and they acted like I was crazy when I asked for it. I got mine from Hobby Lobby.

Ancestry of Tibet Necklace

My beads aren't from Tibet, but that is the name of the tutorial from Unfortunately Oh! http://unfortunatelyoh.blogspot.com/2011/05/tutorial-ancestry-of-tibet-necklace.html
Most of you will have the items on hand, Acculon, crimp beads, metal beads, jump rings, clasp and scrap chain. I didn't have chain on hand so as you see I improvised and used jump rings. While you are at Kei's blog, check out her other posts.

Twist Wire Bracelet

I found this last night/this morning while looking at beading websites and wow, this is a beautiful bracelet. It is a very detailed tutorial http://littleredrobinbird.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-to-make-twist-wire-bracelet.html?showComment=1339416347765#c4064832404878432234 Mine turned out a little short, if I make another one I will make the wire lengths a bit longer. I made up for it being short with a bit of chain, which I will replace with silver chain when I go to the store again. I love it since you can use whatever beads that you happen to have on hand. I used pink beads that I got from Dollar Tree and the glass pearls from Micheal's. You can get the wire from pretty much any craft store. This can be a cheap project and it was fun to make because I wasn't sure what it would look like when it was done. The purple one is made up of random beads that I had on hand.

Wire Wrapped Bracelet

I made this after seeing this post http://jewelsofsayuri.blogspot.com/2010/09/wrapped-3-wire-bracelet-tutorial.html from Jewels of Sayuri. She has lots of cool tutorials and posts, you should check her out. This was pretty easy to do. I should have not used the big beads as part of the bracelet except for on the ends as directed in the tutotrial, but I love it just the same. I had everything on hand to make this. I am not sure if everyone uses the wire eyepins and headpins like I do. I use the cut part to make more eyepins instead of throwing it away so you get more bang for your buck.

Asymmetrical Necklace

I made this necklace after seeing this:
This was a simple and quick project. The thing that took the longest was for the E6000 to dry. This was  also very cheap to make. Use beads, buttons and headpins that you have on hand. Even if you buy items for this, it is a cheap project as it uses very few supplies.

Sculpey Pendant Necklace

I made the pendant out of sculpey and pressed my husband and I's thumbprints into a heart shaped cutout...Don't forget to make a hole with wire to put your jump rings into (I got Chris to make a heart out of wire and cut the sculpey out with it), baked and cooled according to package instructions. Then I spray painted it silver. The necklace is made from plastic/metal spacer beads, pearls and imitation pink turquoise. I have seen this done with salt dough, but I happened to have sculpey on hand.

another washer bracelet

This one is from The Answer is Chocolate http://answerischocolate.blogspot.com/2011/04/dollar-tree-washer-charm-bracelet.html and it was featured at Dollar Store Crafts. It was cheap to make as the washers are from the Dollar Tree, I had the bracelet, beads and the headpins on hand. If you remember, I used some of the remaining washers on some earrings that I made http://craftybliggityblog.blogspot.com/2012/05/earrings-from-my-girlish-whims.html I don't know about you, but I love taking something that is "manly" and making it girly.

Plastic Bottle Necklace Upcycle

Here is a necklace that is made from straws and a plastic bottle. In my case, it was a Diet Coke bottle since I don't drink water. You will need beads, a marker, tacky glue and fabric too. I bet you already have all of this stuff on hand. I did, with one exception. This is from EcoHeidi Borchers http://www.cool2craft.com/plastic-water-bottle-necklace-with-square-pendant-by-ecoheidi-borchers/ I had to go to the craft store to get more beads in the middle of the project (the exception). I ended up only doing two stands of beads and I used Acculon to string the beads on. I decided not to add beads to the pendant. I am very pleased with the end result and I love Cool 2 Craft!

Cinnabar Necklace

I got the beads, focal and chain from Fire Mountain Gems http://www.firemountaingems.com/ This is a very simple but elegant necklace. I love it.

Bird's Nest Pendant

I see these all over the internet and decided to make one, actually I have made a lot of these. These are super easy to make and very cheap to make also. Here is the one that I made for me. I used copper wire and pearls, but use your favorite color of wire and your favorite beads. I used metallic bugle beads for the necklace. Here is a tutorial to make one http://www.sarahortega.com/2011/05/diy-bird-nest-necklace.html

Bugle Bead and Seed Bead Earrings

I made these

after seeing these earrings on Bonanza
http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Handcrafted-seed-bead-and-bugle-bead-hoop-earrings/31187394
I made them out of items that I had on hand but even if you were to buy the items to make these, it would still be a pretty cheap project. Fishing line, bugle and seed beads (I got mine in a pack from the Dollar Tree),  fake pearls and earring wires. I think that I will make a few more pairs of these in different colors.

Chunky Necklace

I got help from My Girlish Whims/Rebecca on this one. I had bought some gold beads that were too big for my current projects and she showed me one of her necklaces that the beads would work perfect for http://pinterest.com/pin/105412447498436587/
Rebecca's is longer than mine, I may go back and make mine longer too.

Here is mine, all beads and jump rings came from Fire Mountain Gems http://www.firemountaingems.com/
If you order jump rings, make sure they are soldered for this project. I had to convince my husband to solder mine for me. Thanks again Chris.

Wish Necklace

This one is super fun and cheap. I had the necklace on hand (it is my husband's) and the vials are two for $1.50 or so at Hobby Lobby. The dandelion seeds are from plants in my yard. I had the beads, jump ring and the headpin on hand. I saw this over at Embracing Messy http://embracingmessy.blogspot.com/2012/04/jewelry-wish-necklaces.html and had to make one.
